Our commitment to customers before, during, and after the purchase is what keeps us the number one steam shower company in the industry.

How do I know which product is right for me?

Choosing the right unit depends on several factors — your bathroom dimensions, whether you want a steam shower only or a sauna or tub combination, your preferred finish, and your budget. Our Steam Shower Buying Guide and Whirlpool Tub Buying Guide are great starting points. If you'd like personal guidance, call our sales team at (800) 290-6812 — we're happy to help you find the perfect fit.

What is your warranty?

All Aquapeutics products include a 10-year structural warranty and a 3-year parts warranty, which covers free replacement parts for the first three years. After the parts warranty expires, you are responsible for the cost of the part plus shipping. You can upgrade to a Lifetime Parts Warranty for an additional $499 at checkout — it's also fully transferable if you sell your home. Note that the warranty does not cover labor or shipping costs.

Are your products brand new?

Yes. Every Aquapeutics product is brand new, factory-sealed, and ships directly from our warehouse. We do not sell refurbished or open-box units.

Where is Aquapeutics located?

Aquapeutics is based in Palmer, MA. You can reach us at info@aquapeutics.com or by phone at (800) 290-6812.

Shipping Questions

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes. Aquapeutics offers free freight shipping on all orders to the contiguous United States (the lower 48 states). Alaska, Hawaii, and international destinations are not included in the free shipping offer — please contact us for a quote.

How long does shipping take?

Most orders ship within 3–5 business days and arrive within 7–14 business days depending on your location. You will receive a tracking number once your order has shipped. Freight deliveries are curbside — the carrier will bring the unit to the curb or end of your driveway. Inside delivery and white-glove service are available for an additional fee; contact us to arrange.

How do the units ship?

Steam showers and whirlpool tubs ship via freight carrier on pallets. Steam shower units typically arrive in 2–3 crates stacked on a customized pallet. Inspect the packaging carefully upon delivery before signing. If you notice any damage, note it on the delivery receipt and contact us immediately.

What should I do if my unit arrives damaged?

Inspect every crate and box carefully before the freight driver leaves. If any damage is visible, write "damaged" on the delivery receipt and take photos immediately. Contact us at (800) 290-6812 or info@aquapeutics.com within 48 hours with your photos and order number and we will work to resolve the issue promptly.

Installation Questions

Do I need a plumber and electrician to install a steam shower?

Yes. A licensed plumber is required to connect the hot and cold water supply lines and drain. A licensed electrician is required to install the dedicated electrical circuit. Steam showers require a dedicated GFCI-protected circuit — this work must be performed by a qualified professional and must meet local building codes.

What electrical requirements do steam showers have?

Most Aquapeutics steam showers require a dedicated 240V / 16A circuit for the steam generator. Units with a built-in sauna require a second dedicated circuit for the sauna heater. Exact requirements vary by model — refer to the electrical specifications on your product page or in your installation manual. Always have a licensed electrician verify requirements before installation.

Do steam showers require a floor drain?

Yes. A floor drain is required for all steam shower installations. The drain must be flush with the finished floor surface and should be a minimum of DN50 (2 inches) in diameter. The drain location must align with the unit's drain outlet — refer to the rough-in diagram for your specific model.

What wall preparation is required?

Two finished, tiled, plumb, and square walls are required for corner steam shower installations. Walls must be waterproofed and fully tiled before the unit is positioned. Walk-in (three-wall alcove) installations require three finished walls.

How long does installation take?

For a professional installer, steam shower installation typically takes 4–8 hours once rough-in plumbing and electrical are complete. The rough-in work is usually done during a bathroom renovation before the unit arrives. Installation manuals and rough-in diagrams for all models are available on our Product Manuals page.

Can I install a steam shower myself?

The assembly of the steam shower enclosure itself can be done by a capable DIYer following the installation manual. However, the plumbing and electrical connections must be performed by licensed professionals. Improper electrical or plumbing work will void your warranty and may create safety hazards.

Steam Shower Questions

What is the difference between a steam shower and a regular shower?

A steam shower is a fully enclosed unit that retains steam generated by a built-in steam generator. Unlike a regular shower, a steam shower seals completely and fills with therapeutic steam — similar to a steam room at a spa. Most Aquapeutics steam showers also include additional features like massage jets, rainfall showerheads, Bluetooth audio, aromatherapy, and chromotherapy lighting.

What is the difference between an infrared sauna and a traditional sauna?

A traditional sauna uses an electric stove to heat rocks to high temperatures, warming the air through convection and conduction. This creates an intense, enveloping heat that sauna enthusiasts consider the most authentic experience. An infrared sauna uses infrared heaters to emit radiant heat that is absorbed directly by the skin — it operates at lower temperatures but penetrates more deeply into muscle tissue, making it particularly effective for muscle recovery. Aquapeutics offers both types in our sauna combination units.

What is the difference between a corner steam shower and a walk-in steam shower?

A corner steam shower installs into the corner of a bathroom and uses two existing walls as the back walls of the unit. A walk-in steam shower (also called an alcove installation) installs against three existing walls. Corner units are the most common configuration. The key difference is how many of your bathroom's existing walls form the back of the enclosure.

How much does it cost to run a steam shower?

Steam generator usage costs vary by model and usage patterns. A typical 3.5kW steam generator running for 30 minutes costs approximately $0.15–$0.25 in electricity depending on your local rate. Daily use adds roughly $4–$8 per month to your electricity bill — comparable to running a hair dryer.

What is ozone disinfection and do I need to run it?

Ozone disinfection is a built-in self-cleaning function that uses ozone gas to sanitize the interior of the steam shower after use. Running the ozone cycle after each session helps prevent mold, mildew, and bacteria from building up in the humid enclosure. We recommend running it as part of your post-use routine.

Whirlpool Tub Questions

What is the difference between a whirlpool tub and an air bubble tub?

A whirlpool tub recirculates water through jets to create a targeted, pressurized massage effect. The jets can be aimed at specific muscle groups — back, shoulders, legs — making whirlpool tubs particularly effective for hydrotherapy. An air bubble tub pumps air through tiny holes in the tub floor and sides to create a gentle, effervescent all-over massage. Many Aquapeutics tubs combine both systems for a comprehensive hydrotherapy experience.

What electrical requirements do whirlpool tubs have?

Most Aquapeutics whirlpool tubs require a dedicated 120V / 15A GFCI-protected circuit for the jet pump. Tubs with additional features (inline heater, LCD TV, etc.) may require additional circuits. Always refer to the electrical specifications on your specific product page and have a licensed electrician perform the installation.

Do whirlpool tubs require special plumbing?

Whirlpool tubs connect to standard hot and cold water supply lines and drain like a conventional bathtub. No special plumbing is required beyond ensuring the drain location aligns with your tub's drain outlet. An access panel for the jet pump motor should be planned during installation.

What is an inline water heater and do I need one?

An inline water heater is an optional add-on available on many Aquapeutics tub models. It maintains the water temperature continuously throughout your soak, so you never have to cut a session short or add hot water. It is particularly popular for long therapeutic soaking sessions. The inline heater option can be added at checkout for $299.
